About #
The Merge tool lets you merge selected models in the scene into a single one.
You can hack the Merge Tool to quickly group models together and the Split tool to separate models later if needed.
Usage constrain #
This operation is only a merging action to create a new single 3D object, combining the selected models together into a new one. No modification is made to their 3D structure or topology.
You can split the model later if you want.
Usage #
The Merge tool is located in the Layout workspace on the left of the viewport.
- Select at least two models, then click on Tools > Merge.
- If a model has a hollowing3D, the user will be asked if they want to delete it or apply the transformation. If applied, the slicer will use the hollowing parameters of the first object selected.
- It will create a new object with a name based on the first model selected with the suffix ”-merged”
